Put on your walking shoes and bring your appetite. Take a 3 hour stroll through Philly's center city, Old City, Society Hill, South Street and Italian Market sections.
We'll start off at
Reading Terminal at 12th and Arch streets. It is the nation's oldest continuously operating Farmers market. Get a butter dipped soft pretzel or a whoopie pie from the Amish, a fresh squeezed juice, or a strong, hot coffee from one of over 80 local merchants.
Our walking tour continues east on Chestnut street, through a shopping district, to Philly's historic area. We'll pass the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and Independence National Historical Park. Double back one block to check out the famous Dream Garden glass moasaic, designed by artist Maxfield Parrish.
We will continue south on 6th Street to Pine, then east on Pine through Antique Row, to society hill's Headhouse Square, an open air market full of local crafts and more local yummies. After we breeze through Headhouse Square, we will head up South Street which offers the best people-watching in Philly. We can browse the sex shops and tattoo parlors, meet up with Philly Friends' Pub Crawl, or grab some coffee at an outdoor café.
   Walk up South street to
Isaiah Zagar's amazing, evolving mosaic house and sculpture garden. You've never seen anything like it. We can gawk at the urban-found-art from outside, or choose to pay the $3 donation to get a close-up view and go into sensory overload. Last, we double back. You can choose to end your tour with a Philly Cheese Steak at Jim's Steaks, or head south on 9th Street to the Italian Market, which still looks like it did 100 years ago. 5) The Phreaky & Phun Philly Adventure
The shocking, the frightful, the weird, and the grotesque.  Participate in a tour of the Mutter Museum.  This experience features such notables as "The Soap Lady", a plaster cast of Chang and Eng the original Siamese Twins, and the skeletons of a 7'6 giant and 3'6" dwarf.  Then we'll set-out for the Eastern State Penitentiary (ESP) where behind the massive, castle-like stone walls of this abandoned prison lies a lost world of crumbling cell blocks and forsaken towers.  ESP was a prison, designed to inspire penitence-or true regret-in the hearts of criminals, using solitary confinement.  Some of America's most notorious criminals were housed here including Al Capone, and bank robber, Willie Sutton.
